Highland Square Cleaners doesn't run on its own. Surprising, right?

While we do our best to make sure that your favorite cleaners works as a well oiled machine, behind the scenes, its just us working our tails off to make it seem that way. You keep coming back because we deliver what we say we'll deliver. We appreciate you, and that's where the human touch comes in.

To make sure we keep moving smoothly especially during this holiday season, we have the help of experts steaming, folding, and even with alterations. In the picture above, is Sara (on the right) and she has been a part of the team for a few months now. Sara and Suzy make quite the team, so if you have work that needs to be done, that needs a creative touch, now is the time!

Well well well!

The holidays are upon us - and no matter which you celebrate - Kwanzaa, Christmas, Diwali, Hanukkah, or perhaps some Canadian variety... We wish you to be safe!

Isn't that the most important thing?

Eat, drink, be merry.. But don't text or talk on a cell phone while driving. Don't drink and drive...

What else?

Oh yes, keep your house well illuminated inside AND out! Thieves aren't necessarily targeting you, but looking for the easiest score. Unfortunately, you being cautious won't stop the thief entirely, they just won't bother YOU. That is the only thing we can do.

In the meantime - we are being very busy and productive making sure your garments, table cloths, wedding dresses are cleaned, pressed and preserved. Beat the holiday rush- bring them in today!

We open as early as 7am on weekdays, and close at 7pm. On Saturday, its 8-6pm. We close on Sunday so please keep this in mind!

We've been in business a long time, and this collection of string shows that.

What do I mean by that?

We've been established here for more than 20 years- drycleaning everything under the sun. When we see new faces that come through our doors on a daily basis, we notice. We don't gloss over our customers. We don't take you for granted.

That's why we are always asking the questions: "How did you find out about us?"

Sure, this isn't a new idea, but its what keeps us connected to our wonderful customers (you).

Who's Suzy?

For those of you who don't know - Suzy is kind of a celebrity here in the Northwest Suburbs. Her reputation is known, and extends to other surrounding neighborhoods for her innovative alteration style.

Her attention to detail and experience is unmatched. Over the years, she has encountered just about every garment, brand, material, and issue there is.

Just one look at her hands, and you'll know. She's been burned by irons, pierced by needles, and scalded by steam. Suzy starts on your clothes early, and stays late stitching away until she has double vision.

While we have added expert team members who have helped with the overwhelming demand here at Highland Square Cleaners, they are always under Suzy's watchful eye. All articles of clothing must pass her inspection - no exceptions.

Its no wonder all customers who find us through 5 star reviews on Google, Yelp, Yahoo, Foursquare, etc. only look for Suzy. It's like a broken record!

"Is Suzy here?"
"I want to talk to Suzy about my clothes/wedding dress/alterations."

Look, Suzy is great, but all this talk about her sometimes makes me feel left out! :)

Maybe its because people enjoy talking to her. Maybe they feel her work and words are a genuine extension of her love. Maybe its a mix. Still though, it wouldn't hurt for people to look for ME once in a while!  "Is Thomas here?" See? Sounds good!  :) I'm just kidding.

We are so grateful to have you as our customers, we prove it every day.

Spring Flowers... Love is in the air!

We wonder... will the weather make up its mind?

One day its warm, the next its back to being very very cold. Well, not that cold.

The new wardrobe is being brought out - ones with shorter sleeves, and shorter pant legs.

Just so you know we are being bombarded by customers dropping off all their winter clothes so they can be cleaned the right way and stored for the summer. Don't worry, we are making time for you and your clothes. We are standing by and are looking forward to seeing you in the weeks to come.

Ok, back to business...

If you have any sweaters, etc that had certain items spilled on them, bring them in. Be sure to tell us what exactly the stain is so that we can have the best plan of attack when cleaning.

"What? You mean you don't just throw them in the washing machines and let them sit?"

Um. NO. We don't. Every garment deserves their individual attention. Every piece of clothing is made of different material, and every stain could be acidic or not. Detergents, or other methods to remove stubborn stains without ruining clothes is a science and an art form.
